The Extron USPA-VGA Universal Sync Processor Adapter is a unique problem solver that reverses the horizontal and vertical sync polarity for those applications in which the polarity of the sync signals is the inverse of that which the display can process. Degraded or rounded horizontal and vertical sync signals are restored to a square wave for crisp clear images on digital displays (plasma, LCD, DLP/LCD projector). The USPA-VGA attaches at the end of the cable run just before the high resolution input on a digital display. The 15-pin HD female input to 15-pin HD male output adapter can be powered by the incoming horizontal and vertical sync signal, or via pin 9 of a computer's VGA connector. Pin 9 effectively becomes a +5VDC power source, provided the computer has a graphic card that complies with the VESA DDC standard, version 3.
