HERMES V2A is designed to display analog video or RGB signals on an OverView or ATLAS projection cube. It offers the possibility to switch between displaying an analog source and displaying the digital graphic output of the graphical controller. The active input is selected via RS232 Remote-Control.
Displaying Analog Video and RGB Data
HERMES V2A offers the possibility to display all current video sources and computer graphics formats on an entire projection cube. The analog source is plugged into the respective analog socket of HERMES V2A. The data is displayed with its specific parameters (color depth, refresh rate) without any impact on the performance of the graphical controller.
Displaying Data of the Graphical Controller
One channel of Barco’s digital graphic card is connected to the digital input of HERMES V2A. When this input is selected to be the active one the data of the graphical controller is displayed on the connected projection cube.
Remote-Control
By means of Remote-Control the active input is selected. When displaying analog signals the analog input is also operated by Remote-Control. The Remote-Control is integrated in X Window. For Windows 95/98/2000/NT a software package is available for the convenient use of the Remote-Control functionality. For individual applications the open protocol is accessible.
